Movies
Movies are a great source of entertainment for all ages. Unfortunately movie sales are on a decline, in fact Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM Studios) have been on the verge of bankruptcy for almost a year now. They are 3.5 billion dollars in debt and all there movies are on hold until they can resolve the credit crisis. A friend of mine said to me that the reason the studios are having a problem in the first place is because they quality of movies have gone own in recent years. I don't think this is true because with today's technology movies are better than ever. Sure, story has been taking a back seat to visuals but that's what a lot of people want to sit in a theater and mindlessly watch explosions and attractive people doing attractive things. Recently Christopher Nolan has been hitting a sweet spot in movies with visually stunning, story heavy movies like The Dark Knight and Inception. Both of which dominated at the box office.

Congratulations for squeaking in under the wire, Ben. You've chosen an interesting subject. I would have liked to have read more, at least 30 words more. The minimum and maximum lengths were provided for a reason. I expect to see more girth in your blogs from now on without verbosity, of course.
ReplyDeleteAllow me to provide a few writing tips:
1. Break up your paragraphs for a cleaner, easier-to-read look—-one paragraph per thought or idea.
2. Watch your spelling for typos. They make your work appear unprofessional. You have spelled the following words incorrectly as a result of sloppy editing:
- "they" instead of "the"
- "own" instead of "down"
- "what" instead of "why"
3. Watch out for sentence fragments. Your last sentence is a fragment. Can you see why?
Keep up with the interesting subjects, Ben.
